Create a measurement point
The measurement point is linked to a data point that records the meter reading and is used in graphs and charts in Energy Monitoring.

Before You Begin
The measurement point only supports accumulative data points. This means that the data point must increase over time, such as a meter reading. Voltage and power cannot be used as meter readings in a measurement point.
Types of measurement points
You can choose from several types:
Physical meter
Reads cumulative energy data from a data point in Evolo.
It is important that the data point is configured with the “Cumulative” log type.Elhub meter
Reads an metering point from Elhub.Difference
Meter Calculates the difference between the main meter and the sum of the submeters.
(difference = main meter – submeters)Total Meter
Sums values from multiple sub-meters.
Here’s how to do it
This example covers a physical meter:
Go to Setup and select Energy Monitoring. There must be at least one energy group.
Click Add Metering Point at the top of the page.
Enter the name of the measurement point.
Enter a description if desired.
Select the medium for the meter.
Select the energy group to which the metering point should belong.
Select Meter Type; in this example, select “Physical Meter.”
Check the box for "Main Meter" if this is the main meter in the energy group, or select a meter from "Submeter."
Select Direction: Import for consumption, Export for energy supplied to the grid, such as from solar panels.
Select Data Point for cumulative energy.
If desired, select Data Point for outdoor temperature if you want to compare consumption against temperature.
Optionally, select Data Point for Power. This opens the Power tab in the energy monitoring section.
Under “Other Settings,” you can enter an icon, the number of square meters (for consumption per m²), a label, and values for degree-day correction.
Click Create.
Main Meter and Submeters
You can mark a measurement point as the main meter. It can then be used as the parent meter when you add new measurement points under the “Submeter of” field. This displays the meters in a hierarchical structure.
