Initial Setup

Building Configuration

First, set up a gateway that communicates with the building’s technical systems. Then, add devices, interfaces, and data points. For familiar systems, you can add all of this at once using a template.

1. Add the gateway

The gateway communicates with the building’s technical systems: Add Evolo Gateway.

2. Add the systems

From a template

Add a system using a template under Systems → New System. Devices, interfaces, data points, logging, and alarms are created all at once.

Manually

Add manually if no template is available:

1. Add a device

2. Add an interface

3. Add data points or Import data points from Excel

4. Add logging for a data point

Building Setup

Once the data points are in place, set up the building with views, alarms, calendar objects, and energy monitoring.

• Views: Add a view and View Builder

• Alarms: Create an alert on a data point and Create notification channels

• Calendar items: Create a generic calendar object or Create a BACnet schedule object

• Energy monitoring: Create an Energy Group and Create a measurement point

• Applications: Set up an application

Keep track of Status

In the Overview section of Configuration, the Status tab shows what is working properly and what needs to be done. It is visible to those who have access to Testing & Commissioning. Items with a yellow warning are listed first. Click on an item to go directly to where you can fix it.
