Set up two-factor authentication
Secure your account by verifying your login with a one-time code.

Two-factor authentication makes your account more secure by requiring you to confirm your login with a code from an authentication app.
How two-factor authentication works
When two-factor authentication is enabled, you log in with your username and password as usual. Then, you enter a one-time code from the authentication app on your phone, such as Google Authentication.
Before you begin
You’ll need:
access to your Evoloaccount
a cell phone
an authentication app, such as Google Authenticator
How to set up two-factor authentication
Click your initials in the top-right corner and select Account Settings.
Go to Two-Factor Authentication in the side menu.
Click Set Up.
Download an authentication app on your phone if you don’t already have one.
Open the app and scan the QR code displayed in "Evolo."
Enter the code from the authentication app to confirm activation.
Important after activation
Once you’ve confirmed the code, recovery codes will appear.
Save these codes in a safe place. You can use them to regain access to your account if you lose your phone or are unable to generate a code in the authentication app.
Builds that require two-factor authentication
A building may require two-factor authentication. This is enabled under “Projects with Two-Factor Authentication Required for the Building.”
You’ll be directed to such a project when:
you have an authentication app linked to your account, or
you’ve signed in with Microsoft.
A passkey alone is not enough. If you have an authentication app linked to your account, you can still sign in with a passkey without a one-time code.
If two-factor authentication is missing when you open the building, you’ll be notified of this, with a button to enable it.
Sign in without a one-time code
With a passkey, you sign in using your fingerprint, face, or PIN instead of a password and one-time code.
