With the search feature, you can quickly get where you need to go without having to click through the menus.

How to open the search

Press Cmd+K on a Mac or Ctrl+K on Windows.
Or click Search at the top of Evolo.

Use the arrow keys to select a result, and press Enter to open it.

What you’ll find

builds and views
data points, with the current value displayed directly in the result
active alarms and alarm configurations
systems, devices (including by IP address), interfaces, and gateways
energy meters, calendar settings, and documents

If you’re inside a building, you search within that building. Select “Search all buildings” to search the rest. If you’re outside a building, you search all your buildings, with favorites first.

Tip

The words can be in any order, and the search tolerates typos. “Demo config” opens the configuration in the Demo building.
A data point opens in Analysis. Press Shift+Enter to go to the setup instead.
If you switch buildings from the search, you’ll remain on the same page in the new building once you have access to it.
Your most recently opened items appear at the top when the search results are empty.

If you can’t find what you’re looking for, you can select “Ask Eva about…” at the bottom of the results.
