Alarm for a data point

Create alarm on the value of one or more data points

1. Go to Configuration β†’ Alarms

2. Under the Setup tab, click Create New Alarm and select Data Point

Tip! You can also cimport multiple alarmss simultaneously via an Excel document.

3. Select one or more data points and enter threshold values that determine when the alarm should be triggered

Data Point - Value

If the data point is of the value type, enter the low and high alarm limits.

Data Point - Boolean Variable

If the data point is of the Boolean variable (BOOL) type, select whether the alarm should be triggered when the variable is true or false.

Text list for alarms

Many alarms are set up based on an error code from the technical system. In that case, you can use a text list to display a description. The value can be read from "Alarm Text" in the alarm table.

4. In the Relationships menu, you can link this alarm to a view, allowing you to go directly to the view via the alarm table.

5. In the Advanced Settings menu, you can set the following parameters

Validity period (days)Which days the alarm should be valid; if none are selected, all apply
Validity period (hours)Which hours the alarm should be valid; if none selected, applies to all
