New in Evolo: Trigger application and system logs available in Gateway πŸŽ‰

Evolo top system is updated. Evolo Gateway V2 has now been rolled out to all facilities. Increased stability, improved communication with protocols, and new applications are some of the improvements.

System Logs Gateway

Gateway now logs everything it does at the facility; it also logs any errors in communication or configuration with technical equipment. Click on the Gateway name under Configuration -> Gateway

In this example, there are communication issues on Modbus for interface 755

Use the system log in case of errors or when commissioning a system to verify that communication is as expected.

New Applications

The new Gateway version includes two applications that you can use as part of your automation solution.

  • Electricity Price
    The Electricity Price app can be used to retrieve information about electricity prices, providing the Gateway with useful data on these prices. The electricity prices reflect Nordpool’s prices.

  • Trigger
    The Trigger app can be used to define custom rules for one or more data points, which will trigger actions when they are met.

General improvements for installers

  • For generic calendar objects, you can now define a custom time using cyclic writing to the objects.
  • The event log now displays both the from and to values that were changed by the component.
  • If you want to update multiple data points at the same time, select them in the list under Configuration -> Data Points and click Update Selected

Views / View Builder

  • When creating a view, you now have the option to set the view as an external link to a web address. For example, for reporting issues at the facility for your end users.
  • The Value component now allows you to set text size and change the text color for different values.
