Set up two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication makes your account more secure by requiring you to confirm your login with a code from an authentication app.

How two-factor authentication works

When two-factor authentication is enabled, you log in with your username and password as usual. Then you enter a one-time code from the authentication app on your phone, such as Google Authenticator.

Before you begin

You’ll need:

  • access to your Evolo account

  • a mobile phone

  • an authentication app, such as Google Authenticator

How to set up two-factor authentication

  1. Click the user icon in the top menu and select Account.

  2. Go to Two-Factor Authentication in the side menu.

  3. Click Set up.

  4. Download an authentication app on your phone if you don’t already have one.

  5. Open the app and scan the QR code displayed in "Evolo".

  6. Enter the code from the authentication app to confirm activation.

Important after activation

Once you’ve confirmed the code, recovery codes will appear.

Save these codes in a safe place. You can use them to regain access to your account if you lose your phone or are unable to generate a code in the authentication app.
