How to connect to Zaptec Portal to retrieve data for Evolo

The Zaptec app lets you connect to the Zaptec Portal to retrieve data from your charging stations. This app allows you to monitor the charging process.
Getting Started
1. Go to Configuration → Applications
2. Click "Add New Application".
3. Fill in the required fields for the application.
The following fields must be filled out:
- Name and description
Enter a name for the application and add a description if desired. - Gateway
Select the Gateway for the data points to be used. - Username
Enter your username for the Zaptec Portal. - Password
Enter your password for the Zaptec Portal. - Data Points
Select the data points you want to write data to.
We recommend that you create a "virtual data point" with the "Data Store" type. - Meter ID
Find the Meter ID by navigating to the desired charger in Zaptec Portal and copying the ID by clicking Copy Charger ID
- Type
Select the type of data you want to retrieve from Zaptec Portal.- Meter reading – Energy consumption in kWh. (Value)
- Is online? – Status indicating whether the charger is connected to the network. (Boolean)
- Temperature Sensor 1 – Temperature reading from sensor 1 (°C). (Value)
- Temperature Sensor 2 – Temperature reading from sensor 2 (°C). (Value)
- Humidity sensor – Air humidity in percent (%). (Value)
- Voltage - Phase 1 – Voltage on phase 1 (V). (Value)
- Voltage - Phase 2 – Voltage on phase 2 (V). (Value)
- Voltage - Phase 3 – Voltage on phase 3 (V). (Value)
- Current - Phase 1 – Current on phase 1 (A). (Value)
- Current - Phase 2 – Current on phase 2 (A). (Value)
- Current - Phase 3 – Current on phase 3 (A). (Value)
- Active Phases – Number of phases in use (1–3). (Value)
- Charging power – Power used for charging (kW). (Value)
- Charging time – Time spent on the current charging session (seconds). (Value)
- Earth fault current – Detected earth fault current (mA). (Value)
- Operation mode – Current operation mode of the charger. (Value)
- 0: Unknown
- 1: Disconnected
- 2: Connected – Charging request
- 3: Connected – Charging
- 5: Connected – Charging complete
- Set charging current– Maximum allowed charging current (A). (Value)
- Warning – Errors and alerts from the charger. (Boolean)
Example of a Zaptec application that writes meter readings to Evolo.
Finish with Create
Complete the process by clicking "Create." The gateway will then retrieve data every 15 minutes and store it in the selected data points.
