Measurement point
How to add a new metering point to an energy group

An energy monitoring data point corresponds to a data point that records meter readings. Using this data, the top-level system generates graphs and charts that constitute energy monitoring.
The measurement point supports only accumulating data points. That is, a data point that increases. An example of a non-increasing data point is voltage and power.
⚠️ It is important to select “Accumulating” as the type in “the layout for the log” for the data point from which you want to retrieve energy data.
There are three types of meters:
- Physical Meter
Reads cumulative energy data from a data point in Evolo. - Elhub meter
Reads a metering point from Elhub. Read more here. - Deviation meter
Calculates the residual/deviation between the main meter and all sub-meters in the energy group. (deviation = main meter - sub-meters)
Add meter:
- Go to Configuration → Energy Monitoring
- Under the Metering Points tab, click Add New Metering Point
- Enter a name and, if desired, a description for the measurement point, and select the energy group to which it should belong.
- Select a data point with an accumulating log for energy data, and include outdoor temperature (optional) for comparison with consumption.
- To activate the Power tab, you can select a standard log (line) for power analysis.
- Define an area to display energy consumption per m².
Example:

This meter is marked as Main Meter.
This allows me to select this meter as a parent under the"Sub-meter of" field when I add the next measurement point, so that the meters are displayed in a hierarchical structure.
