A generic calendar object is linked to an editable data point that allows users to add events to the calendar.

1. Go to Configuration → Calendar Objects

2. Click Add New Calendar Object and select Generic

3. Enter a name and select the desired data point. Then select names for the different modes the user can choose when the object is linked to an event.

Tip! You can also add multiple calendar objects at once via an Excel document.

Boolean variable

A Boolean variable has two modes; enter display names for the values FALSE (Off) and TRUE (On).

Value

A value data point can have multiple modes; select the value to be written and the name to be displayed in the new calendar event.

Advanced settings

Under the advanced settings for the generic calendar object, you can select

  • Write last value If Evolo Gateway is synchronized or restarted, the last value in an event will always be written. For example: If there is an event occurring at 10:00 that activates a specific object, and the Evolo Gateway then restarts at 11:00, the system will automatically send an "ON" command for that object again. This field is enabled by default and is used to prevent the system from becoming out of sync with the calendar setup.
  • Cyclic Writing Enable this to instruct the Evolo Gateway to write active mode cyclically to the data points. You can select the frequency using the desired interval.
