Keep the clock synchronized for your local devices

The Clock Synchronization app is used to send the date and time to devices that need it. The time comes from the operating system of the Evolo Gateway and is synchronized with NTP servers.

Getting Started

1. Go to Configuration → Applications

2. Click Add Application

3. Fill in the fields for the application

The following fields must be filled in:

  • Enter a name, a description if desired, and select the Gateway

  • Interval:
    How often the time should be sent.

  • Data Point
    Select which data point to write to. You can only select value data points.

Finish by clicking Create

In this example, the Gateway will now send the updated time every hour to the selected data point. This data point can then be read by local devices, such as a KNX-DALI Gateway with HCL functionality.

Formatting
When sending the time to KNX, it is formatted according to DPT.
All other data points are formatted as "EPOCH timestamp".
