Lately, we've been working hard on preparing for new modules. Integration with BACnet, table import, and the display builder have also received a major upgrade.

HVAC Symbols

New symbols New symbols, lines, rectangles, and arrows have been released to give you even better options for illustrating process diagrams and views. Preview When you add a symbol, a preview will appear at the bottom of the form.

Further Development of BACnet Integration

Performance Improvements The BACnet driver now supports `readPropertyMultiple` to read multiple objects simultaneously, allowing views to load faster.

Import objects from an .EDE file
Instead of manually entering data points into Excel, Evolo can convert a BACnet .EDE file that you can import as data points.

General improvements

Support for 0.5-degree increments in sliders—Many users want the ability to adjust setpoints in half-degree increments. You can now do this by setting the step size to 0.5 in a slider.

Create a Gateway Without a Key When you begin configuring the system, you do not need to have a physical gateway set up to get started. You can add the key later by leaving the field blank.

Grid in the View Builder An additional grid has been added to make it easier to align components. You can also change the number of steps when moving elements under Options to fine-tune the alignment.

Update labels for related components—If you change the label of a data point, you can now check a box to have related components follow the change under Configuration -> Data Points

Loading Improvements - To improve page loading, the configuration and builder now load tables and menus only for the items you’ve searched for. When selecting a data point in a form, additional data points are loaded as you scroll to the bottom.

Import/Export Views - The import now ignores any empty rows in the sheets. You’ll also receive feedback on which sheet any import errors apply to.

Data Point Descriptions - An additional column has been added to data points that you can use to describe the data point in addition to its name.
